How to Apply

The registration period for the 2010-2011 school year is now over.

All forms for the 2011-2012 school year will be available September 1, 2010.

Here are the steps for submitting an application:

1. Submit an inquiry

Submit an inquiry if you are considering applying to NMSA. You may submit your form online, or you may print it out and return it by fax or mail. The inquiry form provides needed information to keep you updated throughout the process.  An example of the form is available at the link below.

2. Download and complete the application

Download and print out the complete NMSA application:

This 17 page PDF document contains instructions as well as all required application forms.Your application and all required recommendations must be faxed or mailed to NMSA.

3. Take the audition/portfolio review

Take the audition/portfolio review if you are invited to do so (see Admission Criteria/Process on page 5 of the application). Applicants will normally be notified as soon as possible, in the order in which their applications were received, with sites/date announcement for the auditions/portfolio reviews. Consult our 2010-2011 School Year Curriculum and Audition Process document for an overview of what to expect. 4. Acceptance/Notification

You will be informed if you have been accepted to the New Mexico School for the Arts. If you have been accepted, you must inform the school if you will be attending.
