Drawing Space

“Drawing Space” celebrates the Visual Art Department’s freshman year foundation learning by integrating the design, craft, and skill experienced in 2-D, 3D, and Drawing courses at NMSA. In solo and collaborative projects, students develop technique with new materials while gaining awareness of how to utilize the visual elements and principles of design in intentional compositions. Students also assist in curating and installing their cohort’s first exhibition together and gain new skills related to selection, editing, time management, compromise, and collaboration.
