Charter School Positions
For the School Year 2025-26
- Residential Assistant (16 hours/week, Saturday & Sunday)
- Substitute Kitchen Assistant
- Film & Cinematic Storytelling Department Planning Chair (short-term, grant-funded position through June 30, 2026; the NMSA-Art Institute will hire and employ the permanent department chair starting July 1, 2026)

SUBSTITUTE OPPORTUNITIES
If you are interested in being placed on NMSA’s substitute teacher or substitute residential assistant, please follow the application process.
Substitute Teacher: Credentials to perform services as a substitute teacher require holding a license authorizing you to perform the duties of a substitute teacher. This can be in the form of a State Teaching License or a Substitute Teacher Certificate issued by the New Mexico PED.
Substitute Residential Assistant: Substitute residential assistant shifts are generally 5:00 pm – 10:00 pm on weeknights and various day, evening, or night shifts on weekends.
A fingerprint-based background check is required for all positions. Resumes received without all of the proper documentation will not be considered.
