Fall Semester 2024

 

The Dance Department Presents: SOCIALE

Date & Time:  October 24 & 26, 10:45 am & 2:30 pm 

Location: Vladem Contemporary, 404 Montezuma Ave, Santa Fe, NM 87501

Description:  SOCIALE is created in response to the art and architecture of the Vladem Contemporary and the exhibition Off Center: New Mexico Art 1970-2000.

The Theatre Department Presents: Almost, Maine

Date & Time: October 23, 6:30 pm

Location: Bluedio at NMSA, 550 Montezuma Ave, Santa Fe

Description: Almost, Maine is a 2004 American play written by John Cariani, comprising nine short plays that explore love and loss in a remote, mythical almost-town called Almost, Maine.

The Theatre Department Presents: Cinematic Mime

Date & Time: November 1, 6:30 pm 

Location: Bluedio at NMSA, 550 Montezuma Ave, Santa Fe

Description: Five feature length films will be performed in their entirety in under 15 minutes each in this fun, fast-paced reimagining of cinematic classics!

The Theatre Department Presents: Anna In The Tropics

Date & Time: November 2 – 4, Friday 7 pm, Saturday 2 pm & 7 pm, Sunday 2 pm

Location: Bluedio at NMSA, 550 Montezuma Ave, Santa Fe

Description: “This poignant and poetic play is set in Florida in 1929 in a Cuban-American cigar factory where cigars are still rolled by hand and “lectors” are employed to educate and entertain the workers. The arrival of a new lector is a cause for celebration, but when he begins to read from Anna Karenina, he unwittingly becomes a catalyst in the lives of his avid listeners, for whom Tolstoy, the tropics and the American Dream prove to be a volatile combination.”

The Theatre Department Presents: Puffs

Description: “For seven years, a certain boy wizard went to a certain Wizard School and conquered evil. This, however, is not his story. This is the story of the Puffs…who just happened to be there too. A tale for anyone who has never been destined to save the world.”

The Music Department Presents: Vocal Jazz Cabaret

Date & Time:  November 18th, 6 pm

Description: Experience the magic of vocal jazz with our talented vocal students as they perform timeless standards and modern favorites. Enjoy rich harmonies, soulful solos, and a vibrant atmosphere that will leave you captivated!

The Dance & Music Department Present: Strings + Songs + Dance

Date & Time:  December 5th, 5:30 pm

Location: St. Francis Auditorium, 107 W Palace Ave, Santa Fe, NM 87501

Description: This event is a celebration of collaboration. This is the second time these departments collaborate in this space to showcase the caliber of these young artists. Audience members will be able to enjoy the sounds of our String Orchestra and Choir, occasionally accompanied by original works from the Dance Department.
