Guitar Music Performance Assessment

NMSA is delighted to host the 2020 Guitar Music Performance Assessment (MPA), for the North Central chapter of New Mexico Music Educators’ Association, on March 10, 2020. The MPA process is a major assessment for secondary music programs, in which a musical performance is evaluated on specified criteria. The process allows developing musicians to participate in constructive feedback from well-qualified adjudicators. The state of New Mexico is one of the few that acknowledges the educational importance of the guitar in music programs, and includes that instrument in all music education.
