NMSA Jazz Ensemble Trip to China

The New Mexico School for the Arts will represent The City of Santa Fe, which has been invited to take part in the Chengdu International Sister Cities Youth Music Festival in 2019. NMSA’s Jazz Ensemble will travel to Chengdu, China, in late July to perform as part of the festival & showcase our unique approaches to jazz and music-making.
Held at the Dujiangyan Venu the event is sponsored by the Chengdu Municipal People’s Government. The festival aims to promote friendship and exchanges, while showcasing artists and musicians.
The successful event has had a high international profile for more than 10 years. Each year it attracts more than 500 international performers from 19 countries.
