Senior Projects Thesis Exhibition

Senior Thesis Exhibition (opens April 30, 5 pm)
Visual Arts students conclude their years of exploration and study in visual communication at NMSA with a culminating thesis group exhibition. Each senior presents a personally proposed and developed project that they have researched, revised, and developed alongside and with the assistance of their senior cohort and Visual Arts instructors. With a focus on professional practices, this exhibition also facilitates practical learning in art world conventions useful for future exhibitions, opportunities, and in the marketing skills necessary to promote one’s artwork, including the crafting of an artist statement, artist biography, artist CV, artist website, and exhibition publication. This group of emerging artists collaboratively organize, advertise, and install/de-install the exhibition. Each student also presents a public gallery talk that relates insight into their creative work.
