Kuhns scholarship recipient

Marie Kuhns is the 2012 recipient of the annual academic scholarship presented by Silver City s Theatre Group New Mexico. This fall, Kuhns will be attending the University of Oklahoma, in Norman, Okla., where she will be majoring in dance performance.
She has performed in several TGNM productions in the past including The Man With Enormous Wings, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, and had a featured dance number in Oklahoma. TGNM s annual scholarship is awarded to students from the local community who have maintained an outstanding academic record and intend to major in the arts or related fields.
She attended Aldo Leopold High School before graduating this past May from the New Mexico School for the Arts, in Santa Fe. She is the daughter of Debbie and Jeff Kuhns of Silver City.
